Workshop Equipment for Local Manufacture

This manual contains descriptions and blueprints for over 100 special tools for working on air-cooled VWs -- everything from a body trolley for Type 1s to a headlight bucket alignment jig for Type 34s.

VW updated this manual about once a year, by issuing new pages and requesting the removal of old pages. This particular copy was first printed as a January 1955 edition amended to January 1962. A previous owner of the book kept it updated through September 1967.

The table below is listed by tool number. Generally, the first page (160k to 250k) has photographs showing the tool by itself and in use. The last several pages are the blueprints (150k to 500k) for making the tool. On earlier tools, the second page is usually construction directions (100k to 150k) for the tool, but later tools don't have these directions - just blueprints.
